Pregnancy Loss & Baby Farewell Ceremonies — Geelong
For families across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast, the loss of a baby — at any stage — is a grief that the world doesn’t always know how to acknowledge. I do.
As a Registered Midwife, I bring both professional understanding and heartfelt compassion to this work. I understand the medical, emotional, and physical realities that surround pregnancy loss and infant death, as well as the hopes, dreams, and love that begin long before a baby is born.
I also understand that grief does not depend on gestation, age, or the number of days shared. You don’t need to explain or justify your grief to me — it is recognised, honoured, and held with gentleness and respect.
Ceremonies for Every Kind of Loss
Miscarriage Ceremonies
For losses at any stage of early pregnancy — held privately, intimately, and with complete tenderness.
Stillbirth Farewell Ceremonies
For babies born still after 20 weeks — a gentle, deeply personal farewell that honours your baby’s identity and your family’s grief.
Newborn & Infant Ceremonies
For babies who lived for days, weeks, or months — ceremonies that reflect the life that was lived and the love that remains.
Blessing & Naming Services
For families who wish to name and bless their baby — speaking their name aloud, into the world, with love.
Memorial Services
Held days, weeks, or months after the loss — whenever you feel ready to gather and remember.
A Ceremony Entirely for Your Baby
Some families wish to speak their baby’s name aloud for the first time. Others may want to include siblings or grandparents, light candles, share letters, music, or create quiet moments of reflection. There is no right or wrong way to honour a baby.
Each ceremony I create is individually written and thoughtfully crafted to reflect the love, the story, and the hopes you hold for how your baby will be remembered.
Inclusive Baby Farewell Ceremonies for Every Family
I work with families across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast, supporting all kinds of loss — miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death — with equal care and tenderness. Ceremonies can be entirely non-religious, quietly spiritual, or include elements of faith that matter to your family.
“Each new life, no matter how brief, forever changes the world.”
Organisations such as Sands Australia and Red Nose Australia offer compassionate resources for families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
A baby funeral celebrant creates and leads a personalised ceremony to farewell and honour a baby’s life — whether after miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. The ceremony is written from scratch and the family is guided through every step.
Yes. There is no gestational age that makes a loss too small to mark. A ceremony — however intimate — can be an important part of grieving and honouring your baby.
You’re welcome to reach out at any time — there’s no rush, and no commitment required. We’ll find a time to connect, hear your baby’s story, and talk through what the ceremony might look like for your family.
Whenever you feel ready, I'm here.
There is no obligation, no script, and no rush — just a quiet, compassionate conversation at your pace.
